§18 CRYPTO Terminal

OVERVIEW

The Crypto Terminal provides a live view of cryptocurrency markets from a single screen. Ten USDT pairs run by default — BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, ADA, DOGE, AVAX, LINK, MATIC — each with a live order book, depth chart, trades feed, and candle chart. Market overview data, trending coins, and global stats refresh continuously throughout the session. The order book ladder and trades feed stream in real time.

Note

The order book and depth chart update smoothly several times a second. Sub-second microstructure is intentionally smoothed. If your network blocks streaming connections, the order book stays empty — the candle chart continues to update independently.

HOW TO USE

  1. Open /crypto. BTC/USDT loads by default with the order book tab active.
  2. Select a different pair from the tab strip at the top. The live stream re-subscribes automatically — the chart, order book, depth chart, and trades feed all switch to the new pair. Rapid pair switching is throttled and will not flood the feed.
  3. Read the Price Header beneath the tabs for live spot price, 24h change, market cap, 24h volume, and supply data. The live price ticker is driven by the trade stream.
  4. Read the Order Book (Pro+) — bids in green, asks in red, sized by cumulative quantity. Spread is the gap between best bid and best ask; a wide spread indicates thin liquidity.
  5. Switch to the Trades tab (Terminal) to watch prints stream in real time — taker-buys in green, taker-sells in red. Use this to identify accumulation or distribution patterns.
  6. Read the Depth Chart (Pro+) below the order book grid to see cumulative bid and ask quantity across price levels. Steep walls indicate strong support or resistance at those levels.
  7. Scan Trending Coins in the right column for sentiment — these are coins spiking in search activity over the last 24 hours, not necessarily in price.
  8. Monitor Global Crypto Stats at the top of the grid for total market cap, 24h volume, BTC dominance, ETH dominance, and market cap change. Watch dominance shifts for rotation signals.
  9. To add a custom pair (Terminal), click + Custom, type the symbol (e.g. DOT/USDT or just DOT), then press Enter. The pair persists for that browser session.

Tip

Watch BTC dominance alongside spot prices. Rising dominance paired with falling alt prices is the classic "alts bleeding to BTC" signal — a useful filter before entering alt positions.

Tip

Use the depth chart before sizing into a thin alt. If cumulative depth on the bid or ask is thinner than your intended size, your order will move the market. Size down or work the order in tranches.

Tip

Cross-check the Fear & Greed index against your own conviction. Historically, readings below 20 have marked local bottoms; readings above 80 have marked local tops. Neither is a trigger on its own — use them as a contrarian pressure gauge.

Tip

Watch the public-company holdings panel as a macro signal. Changes in MicroStrategy, Tesla, or Block treasury balances represent real capital flows into or out of the asset.
