§16 INSIDER_ACTIVITY¶
OVERVIEW¶
Insider Activity is the Form 4 surface for a single ticker. Enter a symbol and get every officer and director transaction on record — date, insider name, buy or sell, shares, and dollar value — plus a monthly MSPR (monthly share purchase ratio) chart showing the net buy-versus-sell tilt over time.

For market-wide insider screening across all symbols, use /insider-screener instead. This page is per-ticker only.
The MSPR chart computes monthly net sentiment from the transactions themselves:
Positive bars mean officers were net buying that month; negative bars mean net selling. The transaction table deep-links each row to the insider's Form 4 history on SEC.gov.

Transaction Table¶
Every Form 4 on record for the searched ticker, filtered by ALL, BUY, or SELL.

MSPR Chart¶
Monthly bars showing (buys − sells) / total × 100, bucketed by calendar month. Range is −100 to +100. All bars use a single fill color (#2962ff) regardless of sign — direction above or below zero carries the sentiment.
HOW TO USE¶
- Open
/insider. The page is empty by default. - Type a ticker in the search box and press SEARCH or Enter.
- The MSPR chart renders first — review the monthly buy-versus-sell tilt.
- Below the chart, use the filter strip to toggle ALL, BUY, or SELL rows.
- Click any row to open that insider's Form 4 history on SEC.gov in a new tab.
- To jump directly with a pre-loaded symbol, use
/insider?symbol=<TICKER>— the search runs automatically.
Tip
Cluster buying — three or more officers buying within a 30-day window — near multi-year base lows is the highest-quality insider signal. A single CEO 10b5-1 scheduled sell is background noise. Cross-reference the Form 4 footnotes on SEC.gov (via the row deep-link) to check for the 10b5-1 indicator, which is not flagged separately in the table.

LIMITS¶

| Coverage depth | Varies by ticker. Foreign issuers and recent IPOs often return 90 days or less of history |
| Transaction classification | change > 0 → BUY, change < 0 → SELL. Option exercises resulting in a net share increase classify as buys; they are not tagged separately |

TROUBLESHOOTING¶
The page shows SEARCH_FOR_A_TICKER_TO_VIEW_INSIDER_ACTIVITY after searching a real ticker.
The feed returned zero rows. Three causes:
- The company has no Form 4 filers in the indexed window — common for recent IPOs and SPACs.
- The ticker is a foreign issuer with coverage gaps.
- Typo — verify the symbol on
/research/<TICKER>first.
The MSPR chart shows all zero bars but the transaction table has rows.
All transactions in the returned window fall within a single month, or the buy and sell volumes cancel exactly to zero for each month. The chart is correct — review the table directly for transaction detail.
