Morning Tape

OVERVIEW

The Morning Tape is a short email for weekday mornings. It lists the stocks gapping the most in premarket and the three top names on Tapeboard's short squeeze leaderboard, so you can scan the day's likely action in a minute. It is free and needs only an email address, not a Tapeboard account.

WHAT ARRIVES AND WHEN

It is sent on weekdays at 10:15 UTC. That is 6:15 AM Eastern while the US is on daylight time (March to November) and 5:15 AM Eastern in winter.

The subject names the biggest gapper and its move, or the date on a quiet morning. Inside you get up to five premarket gappers with the percent move and price, and the top three squeeze leaderboard names with their scores.

Every link opens the matching page on Tapeboard, such as the short squeeze board.

The email is built from numbers Tapeboard has already computed and has no written commentary. If nothing moved before the open, a section can be short or empty.

HOW TO SIGN UP

  1. Go to tapeboard.com/morning-tape.
  2. Type your email address and submit.
  3. Open the confirmation email and click the confirm link. The Morning Tape starts after you confirm.

If the box says the list isn't open yet, the newsletter has not launched. Check back later. Nothing is saved until it opens.

HOW TO STOP IT

  1. Open any Morning Tape email.
  2. Click unsubscribe at the bottom. It takes effect at once, with no login.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Signing up with an address that is already on the list is safe. You will not get duplicates.
  • Accounts that receive Tapeboard's AI premarket brief on a given morning get that email and skip the Morning Tape for the day, so you never get two.
  • There is no web version. Use Movers and the Dashboard for the live view.

IF SOMETHING DOESN'T WORK

  • No confirmation email: check spam, then try again with the same address.
  • No email on a weekday: confirm you clicked the link, and check the date. It is not sent on weekends.
  • The email is missing halts, a chart or the economic calendar: it doesn't include them today. Use Halts and the Calendar.
