§12 RESEARCH - Fundamentals

Fundamentals data is surfaced through the Fundamental screener at the Fundamentals entry in the left menu, under Research. The page is titled Fundamental screener.

OVERVIEW

The fundamental screener finds companies that are cheap, growing, profitable, or financially sound. It ranks the whole list using numbers taken from companies' SEC filings, which are updated daily, not live. Use it to build a shortlist, then open each company for the full picture.

FEATURES

Filters

Enter limits into the filter boxes. Leave a box empty to ignore it. Enter percentages as decimals (e.g. 0.15 for 15%, 0.02 for a 2% dividend yield). Market cap is in billions of dollars.

Value Min P/E, Max P/E, Min P/B, Max P/B
Size and income Min Mkt Cap ($B), Min Div Yield
Profitability Min Gross Margin, Min ROE, Min ROA
Health Max Debt/Equity, Min FCF Yield
Growth Min Rev Growth

Min FCF Yield is free cash flow relative to price.

Results Table

The count beside the Run Screen button shows how many companies match. The table shows the first 50.

Click a column heading to sort: Symbol, P/E, P/B, Mkt Cap, Div Yld, Gr Margin, Net Margin, ROE, D/E, FCF Yld, or Revenue. An arrow shows the direction. The default is largest market cap first. Click the heading again to reverse the order.

Sorting runs the screen again. If you change a filter, click Run Screen to apply it.

Data Freshness

Look under the page title for As of and a date. The figures come from the latest filings, refreshed daily. They lag a company's actual results by however long its filing took.

HOW TO USE

  1. Click Fundamentals in the left menu, under Research.
  2. Type limits into the filter boxes. Leave a box empty to ignore it.
  3. Click Run Screen.
  4. Click a column heading to sort the results.
  5. Click a row to open that company's page. For deeper numbers, see Research.

Example Screens

  • Profitable and cheap: Min ROE 0.15, Max P/E 20.
  • Growing with cash: Min Rev Growth 0.2, Min FCF Yield 0.03.
  • Safe income: Min Div Yield 0.03, Max Debt/Equity 1.

LIMITS

Note

  • Refresh cadence: Data comes from SEC filings, refreshed daily — not live prices.
  • Filing lag: Figures lag a company's actual results by however long its filing took.
  • Result cap: The table shows the first 50 matching companies.
  • No live prices: For movers today, use the Scanner.
  • Blank values: Shown as a dash where data is unavailable.
  • Account required: The screener requires a free account to access.
