OVERVIEW¶
Three tiers — Free, Pro, and Terminal — each unlocking a wider set of analysis and execution capabilities. Free is $0, no card. Pro is $39/mo monthly, or $374/yr (about $31/mo) billed annually. Terminal is $79/mo monthly ($63/mo billed annually). Every new account gets a free 7-day Pro trial (no card); upgrading mid-trial carries your remaining trial days into the paid plan.

WHAT IT IS¶
A capability ladder. Each tier adds a distinct layer of functionality.
Free is the starting point — 1 live scanner panel (every other one opens behind an upgrade preview), 12 indicators, single-pane charts, 3 concurrent alerts, a 10-ticker watchlist, 4 quarters of financials, the simulator with a $25,000 default balance and all order types except bracket, the Tape Score headline (0–100), CSV import, and a 10-trade analytics sample in the journal.
Pro is the analysis tier — up to 8 scanner panels in the Panel Grid (main Scanner page holds up to 6 on every plan), all 44 presets and the full indicator library, up to 4-pane charts, live streaming candles and sub-minute charts, unlimited alerts with sound, AI stock briefings (20/day), AI scanner in plain English, AI questions in the command palette, full Options Flow, options chain with IV and Greeks, backtesting, and GEX, the Tape Score per-driver breakdown, unlimited journal history with AI coach, simulator bracket orders (stop + target), Level 2 order book + time & sales, 3 saved workspaces in Panel Grid, and 20 quarters of financial history.
Terminal adds everything in Pro plus — custom formula alerts, unlimited AI on every surface, full-text SEC filing search, bulk CSV and JSON export of journal and simulator data, unlimited saved workspaces, TIPS and breakeven economic data, custom crypto pairs, and AI Q&A in the command palette on all surfaces.
WHEN TO USE IT¶
- Free — checking the tape a few times a week, practicing in the simulator, and keeping a journal.
- Pro — trading daily and wanting live candles, Level 2, several scanner panels, unlimited alerts, and the AI scanner.
- Terminal — traders who want formula alerts, unlimited AI, full SEC filing search, or need to export their journal and simulator history in bulk.

Change your tier

Settings → Billing, or go to/pricing. - Select the target tier and billing interval (use the Monthly / Annual switch to see both prices).
- Complete checkout via the Stripe-hosted flow — payment details are stored Stripe-side, not on Tapeboard servers.
- Tier changes take effect immediately; Stripe prorates the billing difference.

LIMITS¶
- One free 7-day Pro trial per account (no card); upgrading mid-trial carries the remaining days — there is no second free period after it ends.
- Annual billing saves ~20% vs. monthly (Pro annual = $374/yr, about $31/mo; Pro monthly = $39/mo). Terminal annual = $756/yr, about $63/mo. Annual plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- The $29/mo founder rate expired 2026-06-01 and is grandfathered for early subscribers only; current public Pro is $39/mo.
- Checkout is Stripe-hosted; payment methods are stored Stripe-side, not on Tapeboard servers.
- Tier changes take effect immediately on the platform; Stripe prorates the billing.
- Scanner panel limits: the main Scanner page holds up to 6 panels on every plan. The 8-panel Pro limit and the unlimited Terminal limit apply to the Panel Grid view.
- Data delay: signed-in Free accounts get live quotes and the live scanner. Visitors who are not signed in see data delayed by 15 minutes.
- Level 2 in the simulator: simulated fills walk the order book on every plan. Terminal adds only the bulk export.
- Webhook alerts work on every plan.
- Downgrading to Free changes limits, not data ownership — your data stays.
